Gradings

Kyu ranks go from white to brown belt. The syllabus is made to be progressive to enable everyone to improve and get the necessary skills to reach black belt and higher.

Below is what will be asked as part of the examination for each belt. Many elements appear for each belt, such as Ukemi, Te Hodoki and Tai Sabaki, and will also be required for Dan ranks. Obviously if the same exercise is asked for a yellow belt or a 2nd dan, the level required to pass won’t be the same.
